- She had to jog to keep up with the thing. Its stride was enormous as it passed through chamber after chamber. It stopped in the only round room she had seen. In the ceiling of the chamber was a circular hole and through it fell rainwater. The thing stood beneath the hole and let the water anoint his dark dry skin. Soon the gray exterior of the thing was gone, replaced by a glistening navy hued skin that was mottled and patterned like marble. The entity let out a sound like a deep resonate sigh.
